Seventh grade girls A/B split

This Tuesday, Aug. 22, at your scheduled 7th grade practice, we will have three  people there to help evaluate the teams and determine the best way to split the teams.  Due to the difficulty of splitting last year during basketball, the board has some guidelines for splitting teams into A/B divisions.

1) The board selects 3 neutral people to evaluate the athletes.
2) The coaches do not have any input in the splitting decisions.
3) Each team will have equal players (or 1 more)
4) This evaluation is preferably done on the 2nd week of practice(3rd at the latest).
5) Any child who cannot make practice on this day will be on the B team.
6) No consideration will be given for ride sharing or parent requests.
7) The evaluations will not be shared with anyone during or after practice.  They will be delivered to the board representative or principals.
8) Team split decisions will be emailed out no later than the next day by the athletic director.

We have had a difficult time finding a practice when we could get this done due to the upcoming open houses at each of the 3 schools, but have decided on Tuesday, August 22, practice at 3:30.

Tuesday's practice will be only from 3:30-5:00 as there is another grade that practices at 5:00 on Tuesdays.  However, if you can arrive early for practice we plan to hand out uniforms before practice to allow the girls to wear there uniform shirts for the tryout.  We will have somebody there by 3:00pm, but please be there no later than 3:15 so we can get everyone a uniform and ready to practice by 3:30.

People who will be evaluating:
Julie Lobitz - St Thomas Aquinas Principal
Bailey Racky - CC Volleyball Coach
Laurie Hynes - Board Member Representative

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
