Changes to the Athletic Policy Manual

The following changes are effective immediately. Communicating with players / families : C ommunication between the coach and player should go through the parent and not directly to the players. Guidelines for communicating with a minor are addressed in the Safeguarding All God’s Family Social Networking Policy but are not specified in the athletics section of our policies. This is particularly relevant as social media evolves and with our younger coaches, and especially those who are not parents. This policy is being reviewed for updating and will be added to the athletic section moving forward. Charging Panthers Girls: 86-31

With three weeks' worth of competition in the books, Burlington Catholic girls are DOMINATING! (Sorry, guys, I don't have boys' results yet) All-in, Charging Panthers girls' teams are a combined 86 wins, 31 losses. Our 6th grade white team is 18-0... both eighth grade teams are 11-1. Of eight girls' teams at BCA, three are in first place for their respective divisions. Here are the records and standings following Week 3. 5th white - 8-7 for 2nd place 5th blue - 7-8 for 5th place (same division) 6th white - 18-0 for 1st place 6th blue - 11-4 for 3rd place (same division) 7th A - 13-2 for 1st place 7th B - 7-8 for 8th place 8th A - 11-1 for 2nd place 8th B - 11-1 for 1st place Congrats Charging Panther student-athletes, coaches, and parents.

Basketball reminder: Spiritwear and shooting shirt orders due soon

Basketball season will be here soon. If you are receiving this e-mail, your son or daughter is signed up for Basketball at Burlington Catholic Athletics this year. As this is our first year with Burlington Catholic Athletics, the athletic board has decided to leave 8 th grade teams as St Charles and St Marys teams, but all other grades going forward will be a combined schools team. I have attached the notes from last weeks basketball meeting, if you missed them.
